Police Arrest 3-Man Robbery Gang In Delta, Recover Four Guns, Fake Currencies

The Delta State Police Command on Wednesday revealed that it had arrested a 3-man robbery gang in the Warri metropolis.

The State Police Command also disclosed that it recovered four guns and some fake Currencies from the suspects.

The Police Commissioner in the state, Hafiz Mohammed Inuwah who Confirmed this to Journalists in Asaba at press briefing, said that the suspects were apprehended by men of the” Operation Delta Safe” unit of the Command led by CSP Anieteh Eyoh.

Inuwah also stated that the suspects will be charged to court on completion of investigation.

According to police sources, the suspects were said to have been apprehended around Mc claivers market in Warri South Local Government Area of the state.

The source also said the suspects have been on the wanted lists of the police for for some years before nemesis caught up with them

While calling for useful information from members of the public, the police Commissioner assured Deltans of police protection.

He said useful information would help the police to” Smoke out armed bandits, Kidnappers, others in their hideouts in the state.

Inuwah maintained that the police will do everything possible to eradicate criminal activities from the state.

Meanwhile, the state House of Assembly is Collaborating with the state Command of the Nigeria Police force to galvanize effective Crime fighting and preventing at the grassroots.

The Speaker, Sherriff Oborevwori while receiving the Commissioner of Police, Hafiz Mohammed Inuwah, commended the Police boss for being proactive in crime fighting and prevention in all nooks and crannies of the state.

Oborevwori said that the Police boss would succeed in the task of securing the state because of his vast knowledge of Crime prone areas, having served at various levels in the state Police Command prior to his elevation to the position of Commissioner of Police.

In his remarks, Inuwah said that the state House of Assembly remained a dependable Ally in the efforts to successfully combat crime in the state.

He explained that the visit was to seek the collaboration of the Lawmakers in making the state safe and comfortable for business
