The 2027 Toyota Land Cruiser features a range of updates that bolster its reputation as a highly capable off-road SUV while adding luxury and advanced tech.
Toyota has refined this iconic model to attract drivers who want rugged trail performance without sacrificing modern comfort and convenience.
Under the hood, each 2027 Land Cruiser is powered by Toyota’s turbocharged i-FORCE MAX hybrid system.

It pairs a turbocharged engine with an electric motor between the engine and the eight-speed automatic transmission, producing 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque for strong acceleration and pulling power on the highway and off-road.
Toyota estimates fuel efficiency at 23 MPG combined, making it more efficient than many traditional body-on-frame competitors.
Off-road capability remains a priority.
All trims come standard with full-time four-wheel drive, locking centre and rear differentials, and tech like CRAWL Control and Downhill Assist Control for steep descents.
Features such as the Stabiliser Disconnect Mechanism improve suspension articulation for technical terrain, while Multi-Terrain Select and the Multi-Terrain Monitor aid traction and obstacle detection.
Built on Toyota’s TNGA-F platform shared with models like the Tundra, Tacoma, Sequoia, and 4Runner, the Land Cruiser’s high-strength, boxed frame offers increased rigidity and less weight.
It supports towing up to 6,000 pounds and is suitable for trailers or outdoor gear.
Interior features balance rugged durability with upscale comfort. Options include an 8-inch or 12.3-inch infotainment screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, USB-C ports, Qi wireless charging, and a 14-speaker JBL audio system.
Buyers can also choose a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, head-up display, and a 2400-watt inverter for outdoor electronics.
The model comes in two trims: Land Cruiser 1958, with retro styling cues like round LED headlights, a “TOYOTA” grille, and fabric seats, and the higher Land Cruiser, which adds LED headlights, SofTex seats with heating and ventilation, larger displays, and trail-focused tech.
Styling enhancements include a new Inked exterior colour, and features such as a High-Mounted Air Intake and heated/ventilated second-row seats are now available.
The design preserves the Land Cruiser’s iconic boxy shape and short overhangs for visibility and aerodynamics.
Safety is emphasised with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, which offers adaptive cruise control, lane assist, emergency braking, and road sign recognition. Additional safety tech like Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert enhances daily confidence.
Combining hybrid power, luxury, tech, and true off-road ability, the 2027 Land Cruiser continues its legacy as a reliable, versatile adventure SUV.
Available in Spring 2026, it starts at an MSR of $57,880 before delivery charges.
