Makinde Congratulates Adeleke on Osun Re-election, Hails Victory for Democracy

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has congratulated Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his re-election, describing the victory as a triumph for democracy and the people of the state. Makinde, in a statement issued on Sunday, said Adeleke’s victory reflected the governor’s commitment to serving the people and delivering good governance.

He also commended the people of Osun State for exercising their constitutional right to vote despite the tensions and pressures that characterised the election. The governor, who is also Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, urged Adeleke to regard his re-election as a fresh mandate and an opportunity to do more for the development and progress of Osun State.

Makinde expressed confidence that Adeleke’s renewed mandate would enable him to consolidate his achievements and deliver more dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
